"We live in a spiritual dollar store" really hit.

They say theatre started with people acting out their mythological stories, thus bringing an animated version of their gods into the physical realm.
I wonder if those stories were ever interrupted for advertisements.

A friend asked me a question that sums up the "Japanese thing" meme:

_"How does it feel to have your country basically worshipped, but for all the bullshit that doesn't even really matter?"_

Can't say he's wrong, at least for weebs. Got a good laugh out of that.

The one on friends during this age hit hard, considering how anyone can be excommunicated from the tribe for simple disagreements really makes you think if we're stepping forward or jogging backwards.

The meme at 8:50 that shows a picture of a typical American road reminds me a lot of a video released on YouTube by the channel Not Just Bikes about "stroads". The gist of it is that the road in the photo could have been taken just about anywhere in the USA. The road's design reflects a decision to make it easier for cars to get around rather than cyclists or pedestrians. Getting around comfortably on these roads requires a car.

“A cultural engine for spreading mass ideas, personalities, and tastes.” This brought to mind the common acknowledgement that we’re all brought together by the YouTube algorithm.

I’m glad We are all here to witness History in the making, especially with Your insights into the unconscious aspects of these changes and their prescient characteristics that You are documenting here in a way.

There's a tree at the back of my friends garden that to me, looks exactly like the vascular system in human lungs. Sometimes I just sit and stare at it and I can't help but feel like everything is connected somehow.

6:13 I agree with this interpretation a bit, but I think it misses the underlying point. The meme specifically targets Japan, because of how media, in very large part thanks to anime, has overstated the luxuries of living in Japan. We don't see this same level of fetishization of a country anywhere else. You bring up cyberpunk, and I think that's one of the best examples you can give. It's depicting a literal dystopian world, but it's considered an "aesthetic" and cool looking because it originates mainly from Japan. The cultural distance is there as well, because it's an East Asian culture and not European, which is something Americans may feel more closely related to. Otherwise solid video, you made some great connections I wouldn't have thought to make that work very well.

Thanks for talking about finding beauty in our lives, and viewing our lives as "the real thing". Once we take that viewpoint, it becomes possible to improve our relationships with others, which is - unless you're a true hermit with no ties to society - vital for happiness.

The MemeAnalysis TikTok video has been long awaited, thank you.

When you say "spiritual dollar store" you mean that the modern man is so desensitised and unwell in ther spiritual life that he can't even dream what one who lived before this commercial loaded, consumerist world would have felt?
Also what would be the purpose of spirituality and God in a spiritually "healthy" man's life?
