My wife and I went solar. We were skeptical but we prayed on it and decided to take a leap of faith and we don’t regret it at all. We make more than we use so we only have to pay to stay connected to the grid that we depend on to power our house at night. The power we use at night we are buying back what we made in the day, it’s free. As electricity prices go up our bill will stay the same. We also didn’t bay any up front cost.

Then that allows you to confront the real topic. which is the discrepancy between. what they’re getting and what they’re paying. and how there’s a mismatch and then you can attack the value

Fun fact: most Floridians get ripped off with solar. What I mean, is these sellers will talk about the added benefit of solar after hurricanes…but unless they’re also selling you battery storage in that package, your solar is USELESS when the grid is down. So many people after Ian found out just how useless their solar set ups were, ans genuinely were shocked by it.

Shows up as a second mrtg on your property here in FL beware, had plenty of unhappy sellers who didn’t read the papers. It’s possible to assign it but buyers want it paid off and the company has to allow it. Other wise you’re out 1st mrtg amount plus solar panel total.

We did a solar presentation then Google them after they left, they like to spin words and stats. Essentially you sign up for 30k in solar panels under the pretense that it will drop your bill to $15 when in reality your bill only goes down $10/$15 and you still owe 30k for the panels plus interst because it's technically a loan

1. You can rotate the panels per season
2. You can clean and maintain the panels
3. You can replace panels
4. Companies wont insure your house with panels

This is why I have a no soliciting sign on my door. The roi for paying the full price on solar panels is not as good as people think. Roof repairs increase for installing and unistalling and insurance increases.
