As somebody who works in finance, “outperformed” doesn’t mean much. I’m sure you were looking at 2K’s 10-Q. It is essentially Actual vs. Budget thus far into the year. 2K (and parent company) are well aware that “outperform” sounds better than “underperform, ” so they add fluff in the budget to make sure they can hit it. Everything in that 10-Q is internally generated. It’s almost like a press release where they highlight what they want you to see (and any obvious issues). You would need to dig in and run your own year-over-year calculations to really understand their performance.

They gotta make 2k fun again. In 20 if you had a high 3 you were automatic from almost everywhere, if you had high contact dunk you could dunk on anyone besides centers with good defense. They gotta go back to where the game is fun because every build is cheese in their own way
