Not everyone has the money to purchase a new car every couple of years, so here are some electric bicycles that cost four to ten thousand dollars.

Funny thing is, you can get great e-bikes for $1500. A lot of similar parts, but good selection. Radpower, 1up, Sykl, and more. Unless you are an avid off-roader, or all-day high speed road cycling, you don't need to invest in $5-8k bikes

You missed out on one of the best e bikes out there. The Sur Ron Light Bee. Check it out! You can buy it in the US for under $4000. at Luna cycle.

I own a Haibike E Bike. Purchasing it was the best decision ever. It’s fun. It’s practical. I just took a trip through the Alps. No sweat. Just fun& range.

Stromer ST3 cost just over $8000, but to be fair you get a lot of bang for your buck, not even front suspension forget the rear one.

Damn these e-bikes are fine! Astronomically espensive tho. I'm sure prices will come down in the near future.

I like the ruffian too, love the cruiser style. Looks like the first Harleys.

its a shame they didn't include the Sur-Ron bike sold by Luna Cycles. The best deal ever. Since Segway bought into SurRon, the price nearly doubled and installed lesser qualifty componants.. I almost got the #1 Moto Parilla Carbon SUV e-bike and still might just for beach cruzes. Cuz the SurRon with 1 wire snipped unleashes 5000w and flys at nearly 50mph. I opted for the Super Moto Rims and belt drive. She is a blast to ride... The main reason I didnt get the Moto Perillia bike is that it cant jump at all, although fully suspended bike, just not that kind of bike.

Hah! I made a version of No.2 that has 26" rims with a fat tyre on the back, overall height from floor to top of wheel is 29", 48 volts, and I got 39 mph out of it. This is the only bike I've ever owned that I wore a helmet and goggles with. The bike cost £300, the electrics cost £300, and the battery cost £350. After the first test run my smile was so wide I thought my head was going to fall off, lol.

Mine folds, also. Goes up to 28 mph.

Anyone in the EU or Britain should know that, whilst great fun, these can only be used on private land. They are not allowed on cycleways; as in the UK the only powered cycles we allow are electric bikes up to 250 Watts power, which cannot exceed 15.5 mph, under our EAPC Regs, similar in all EU.
You can ride them on the roads, but you must have at least a provisional a licence, you must register them, fit number plates, pay Vehicle Excise Duty (Road Tax), have insurance (difficult) and wear a helmet, just like a motorcycle

All really cool and expensive, so I'll stick to my gas engine bicycle for now, it gets 125mpg @ 30mph

People shelling out ridiculous prices for these bikes deserve it.

Wait a minute....schwalbe tires are only used on one bike on earth? That makes no sense at all.

Personally I would be more interested in a e-trike.... as I am an elderly handicapped person.
