Показать описание
In the wake of rising climate disasters and extreme weather patterns, nations around the world must prepare for the mass displacement of those who will have to flee their homes. Is this migration, most of which will happen within countries, simply a case of climate adaptation? Or should we see it as one of the greatest climate-related risks we face, and do everything we can to mitigate and control it?

Speakers:
Kumi Naidoo - Human Rights Activist and Speaker on Environmental Justice
Julia Blocher - Researcher, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impacts Research
Mohamad Al-Jounde - Founder, Gharsah School

The inclusion of an applause judgment to declare a "winner" of these debates on the NY Times Climate Hub is embarrassing. We all know that in politics, the stupidest voices can be the loudest. This trivial assessment of serious people and topics is completely unnecessary.
