What Trump and Biden Must Do to Win the Debate | NYT Opinion

The Opinion Video above lays out the unique challenges facing President Biden and Donald Trump when they meet in Atlanta on Thursday for their first 2024 presidential debate.

A lot has happened in the four years since they last appeared together on a debate stage, including a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, many more months of a raging pandemic, the overturning of Roe v. Wade, galloping inflation and the outbreak of wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. Indeed, there’s no shortage of matters for the two men to discuss.

In the Opinion Video above, we draw on footage of their past performances, in debates as well as on the campaign trail, to show what each candidate needs to do — and what he needs to avoid — to win the day. The stakes are high, and so is the risk of failure.

Regardless of whoever thinks “wins”, in the end, we as the American people just keep losing.

The pro-Israel double standard was made even more explicit in an internal New York Times memo leaked to The Intercept earlier this year, which directed reporters to avoid factually accurate terms like “occupied territory, ” “massacre, ” “refugee camp, ” and “genocide” when referring to Israel’s actions, while specifically recommending the word “terrorist” be used to describe those who attack Israeli civilians but not Palestinian civilians.

Trump is such a scam artist and I pity anyone who thinks he did a good job as President the first time round.

It's no accident that both parties gave us friends of Netanyahu to vote for

Hillary Clinton, in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, agreed to collude against Trump.

"The radical left...." The fascist means "conservatives." In USA politics, we have not heard from "the left" is about five decades.

I am only here to call for the New York Times editorial board to step down. This group thinks very highly of themselves, but they do not represent anyone other than themselves in their opinions. The Times has spent so much time and effort lying about how good republicans are because they want to look unbiased. The Times readership is down because they are playing too hard to the wrong audience. I will be cancelling my subscription to the newspaper, I urge all people to cancel their times subscription.

After watching the debate, the only question I have is, who has been running our country the last three years?

Hopefully the American people can bond over our lack of good candidates… we need to stop reinforcing the tribalism, it’s holding us back
