Greek poet Constantine P. Cavafis, 1863-1933.

Being on stage is Alexia Paraskeva's second home. She loves the challenge of playing other roles and losing herself in characters’ worlds. It is a form of therapy, escapism from reality and her daily routine to a safe place, the stage, where she can transform into someone else and lose herself for a few hours.

She loves teaching and sharing the skills she acquired as a professional actress and drama teacher.

Alexia notes: "The past fifteen years have taught me that this profession enriches me continually. The youthful energy and passion I see in my pupils reminds me of where my journey began. Teaching helps me grow as an individual and a professional. For me, it is the most fulfilling way of bridging the gap between my passion and other people’s aspirations.
It’s all about inspiring and being inspired!"

This has been my favorite poem ever since I was a kid.

As I get old, I understand more and more just how wise and beautiful this poem is.

Sean Connery’s version is like Laertes speaking to Odysseus. While this version is like Athena speaking to Odysseus. Love both renditions!!!

شكرا لكم ولكن لدي ملاحظات على الترجمة وأن المدقق فيها لم يكن مدققا كان عليه أن يطلع على ملحمة الأوديسة المترجمة إلى العربية حتى يترجم بعض الكلمات لا بمعانيها بل بأسمائها مثل السيكلوب هو إسم ويعني ذوو العين الواحدة وهم من العملاقة وأيضا بوسيدون هو إسم وليس السلطان كما جاء في الترجمة.... أما الليستروجينات فهي إسم جزيرة يوجد فيها العملاقة.. سأضع بإزاء ترجمتك كمقارنة للقارئ بينك ترجمتك وترجمة الشاعر رفعت سلامة

This seems to be a very clunky, unpoetic translation. That made by Edmund Keeley and Philip Sherrard is much more lyrical. Would like to hear Ms Paraskeva apply her talents to that.
