Fun fact about Royal Guard: According to the Style move descriptions in DMC3, he's not actually storing the energy of the enemies attacks. He's getting more and more pissed at having to block and "Royal Release/Revenge" is him unleashing all that pent up annoyance into one punch. So a fully charged Royal Revenge is just Dante being fed up with blocking and actually punching back with his full strength.

Dante is one of the very, very few video game characters I could put in the DC/Marvel comics continuities and not watch him get utterly stomped immediately. And that is not a statement that can be made lightly, those comic writers have zero chill. Dante is one of the few who can match them, plus he looks stylish while doing it

The one debilitating factor of Dante is poor spending decisions forcing him to sell his weapons

And Dante's speed would be immeasurable, as he is stated to move beyond time according to lore

Well, the game is built around Dante playing with his enemies so he canonically never took anyone other than Vergil seriously. He's pulling his punches for Stylish points. He'd get a D rating if he destroys everything in one hit.

I love how comically overpowered Dante is in lore. Like it couldn’t be more obvious how a lot of this stuff was written to just sound cool, like how Ifrit is supposed to be above the like maximum heat level of Hell but Dante wields it with no issue. It makes trying to figure out the actual powers of everything kinda crazy, but it is very fun.

Since demons get power from human blood and dante's blood is half & half, he has just about an infinite supply of power

Dante's DMC5 theme made it very clear.
You cannot kill him.

all that speed and yet he still couldn't stop a malnourished emo kid from plunging his walking stick into Urizen's chest eyeball thing, while standing a few meters away

safe to say Dante lowkey wanted his bro back

In the enemy files of dmc5 Im pretty sure its stated that Urizen was drawing power from the qlipoth while sitting on his throne so he mightve actually been slightly depowered when he got up to kill nero

pizza makes dante stronger, it's the source of his power

When it comes to dante he takes the saying "Fuck around and find out" and rewrites it too "once I fuck around you will find out"

Quicksilver is both. It's time controlling abilities and makes you fast. As the game specifically states this "Send out a dimensional time-rift wave that slows down your enemies while giving you ultra-high speed. Also, while in Quicksilver mode, you will constantly consume DT energy."

Dante is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. He is stupid powerful and cool. People don’t understand GOD of War is inspired by this franchise and Dante.

What I absolutely love about the implications of the design and lore is that the Swords themselves might possibly be Sparda himself split into 3 pieces but Rebellion was made so he could be resurrected again once all 3 combine. This further evidenced by the game itself because our very Devil Arms are living. Alastor, Ifrit, Beowulf, Agni x Rudra, and Cerberus as notable examples. Cerberus was also guarding and sealing the entrance with his ice only allowing the worthy to enter and take his strength. Artemis was a Demonic Gun that was used as a part of the rituals of the seals as well. Another living thing. We also have no idea how Sparda was so strong. Did he also use the Fruit from the Qlipoth? He some other demonic means unseen? Was he losing control of himself like Vergil did? So many mysteries...

A bit unrelated to how strong Dante is on his own, but at the end of DMC5 it's somewhat implied that Dante and Vergil working together as a team are stronger than Sparda was on his own. While not outright stated, the general vibe of the scene between the two of them seems to be about how far they've come. Although still somewhat reluctant about it, the implication is that Vergil is starting to come around to Dante's way of thinking in regards to the importance of family bonds. Dante and Vergil have very different and contrary fighting styles, so the two of them fighting together as a team means that they would be able to cover for each other's weaknesses while taking advantage of each other's strengths. They create a unit greater than the sum of its parts, and very well may have finally surpassed their father in doing so.

There’s a reason why Dante is in the video game powerhouse club with Kratos and Doom Slayer

I remember when this nigga solved Pandora's box in 10 seconds and was using it like a toy and people have the nerve to question his intelligence lol
And every new weapon he gets is used to flex on you efficiently and they try to say he's not very skilled in combat lol
He's a jack of all trades in what he does and a master of them all

Talking about reaction speeds, as a teen, he is able to react to shots fired at him at point blank, while aiming his own weapons and blocking bullets with bullets, all while in a flip.

He does this to lady in dmc 3, keep in mond shes firing machine pistols while he himself only has semi automatic hand guns
