Video showing 0-262 km/h acceleration of new BMW Z4 sDrive 35is. DKG gearbox was in DS mode, Performance Control in SPORT mode.
This car was simply astonishing :)

Seriously, thank you for recording this with a decent camera without any sound, music etc but engine. No anotations, links, commercials. Just what needed. Impossible to find like this nowadays.

Oil temperature goes from 115 to 235 Celcius in less than 1 minute :P And the speed run was recorded on a cold day (+10 Celcius outisde). I guess this Z4 sDrive 35is as a factory oil cooler, so what should be done to cool down the engine? Bigger intercooler? What else?

@MrDodobmw, it's difficult to compare those cars. In Z4 you can better feel accelerations at low or medium speeds (till 160-180 km/h). But after 200 km/h 650i is faster and you can feel it. Anyway, both are great cars :)

well i also think since the 650 is heavier, you can feel at stop starts the push to the seat a little more, anyway the z4 is a newer beamer so it does have more sophisticated suspensions, at the end in both cars you can feel the speed, i've only been in the 335i and it was pretty fast

I was expecting the engine to top redline in 6th gear, instead it doesn't go beyond 6600 rpm.
Is it the speed limiter or is the VI ratio slightly overgeared ? Thanks for answering.

I'm glad you like my videos.
I also must say that all my acceleration videos are real, not faked. Sometimes there is downhill or uphill or wind, but I always write about this in description.
I have no point to make cars faster/slower than they are.
Look at this video and acceleration figures:
0-100 ca. 4, 8 sec.
0-200 ca. 17, 5 sec.
0-260 ca. 37 sec.
It's same in other videos on YT (not mine) and press tests like Autobild Sportcars etc.
