Russia practiced the electronic launch of missiles as part of a second stage of drills on how to deploy tactical nuclear weapons, the defence ministry said. President Vladimir Putin ordered the drills after what Russia said were threats from the West, including signals from Western officials that they would allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with Western weapons.

If this is an EMP type of item, that is the future of warfare which will permanently turn off anything within range containing a microchip whether phones, computers, vehicles, planes, missiles, drones, radars, domestic appliances. You name it. Cavalry and old cannons will end up becoming the biggest battlefield tactic, and only birds will fly.There have been rumors in recent times that next year, Russia hopes to have an EMP 'gun' on their developing MiG41or other 6th gen plane. By contrast, it was reported a few years ago that the USAF was putting internal shielding to their B52's in the hope that it will work against EMP's, but you don't know until a real conflict situation tests this. If EMP, these missiles would activate over a wide geographical area and, nobody would be killed by it, the EMP will take out a mass of electronic devices and systems below it. Even now, with the video blurring, you can see how secret Russia considers the system to be.
