Dude, those kids at the end will remember you for the rest of their lives. The look on their faces.

The shining on that girl's face worth the whole effort of rescuing that giant beauty...

This is probably one of your top 10 videos in my mind. I love the style of you teaching about the machine while watching you also make something with the machine.

I could see these type of videos running in your museum one day with every machine.

I love big old machines like this, it's a reminder of years gone by when humans built things to last.

I think you just created two future diy/craft persons. Those two children in the end looked so amazed with the tools and what you could do with them. That tiny girl was so impressed.... he he he he .... made my day. Cheers

I love how they used to make stuff back in the day, I still try to build that way for my clients and it amazes them that I can spend an hour on a detail most people would commit no more than 3 minutes to and still keep smiling.

It was great seeing you there. My 8 year old son has the bat symbol you made for him sitting in front of the picture I took of you two together. He loves watching your videos. You definitely made His day.

Jimmy, best part of the video is that little girls smile when you gave her the bow. You clearly made her day and that is the mark of a true maker. We;; done my friend.

No-one inspires me to go and make stuff as much as you do Jimmy. Love this format of video as well. 😁😁👍👍🤠🤠

I live 20 minutes from where the body of that saw was made 😀. I have been slowly turning my shop over to all 3 phase vintage machines and I love them. Built better and will last longer than modern tools.

beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. I'd love more footage of you taking requests from the kids, sounded awesome from the bit you talked about on your podcast.

I have an earlier version of that saw made by Frank Clement. I’m the second owner, the original owners were Lapp Lumber in Leroy, who owned it since new in 1892.

The wooden upper wheel serves the purpose of ensuring that the lower driven wheel has a higher mass. It eliminates the possibility of the upper wheel straining the blade on the left side of the saw instead of the right side, ensuring the blade is always tensioned while cutting

Watching how smooth that saw spun gave me goosebumps.
