Imitating Actions With Objects

Learning how to imitate others is an important foundational skill for learning language. It can also help with social interaction.

sometimes you are working on imitating motor actions, like clapping or stomping, and other times you are working on imitating sounds like exclamatory sounds (uh-oh!!).

another imitation skill that is important to work on, is actions with objects. It could be copying banging on a drum, building a block tower, or actions with figurines like in this video.
