This one is called the Trail Hawk. Great all around lightweight hawk

Mine functions better than their other hawks. There's a smoother transition from blade to eye. So it splits without catching. A square hammer has more surface area to strike with than a circle of the same diameter. And that 90° flat hammer spine is more useful for scoring wood or stone, fire striking, wire bending, etc.

That’s the Trail Hawk. Absolutely great. Got my first one when I was 10, I’m 28 now and the original is still in great condition along with 6 more I’ve picked up over the years. Good thrower, good to keep in the truck or tie to a backpack or belt

I had this about 20 years ago. Broke the eye on a camping trip. Split the whole length. I liked that axe 😢

I shortened the handle and used the Trail Hawk as my lightweight camp axe.
Used mostly for wood processing but not for wood splitting, l used a small maul for splitting.
