Minolta X-570 Video Manual 2 of 2: Operation

Minolta's X-570 represented the mid-range offering in the X series; however, it was largely preferred by professional and advanced photographers over the X-700 due to the simplicity of the interface, capable features, and lack of a program mode. The X-570 sported a bright viewfinder, excellent meter, and great X-series build quality. The video is part two of a two-part series and details how to use all the Minolta X-570 features. The orange bar helps you when you are rewinding the film back, like a stop sign to not roll it back completely, I guess :))

Your videos helped me out extremely as being someone who just bought a secondhand Minolta without having any knowledge about photography and being an absolute beginner. I am still a bit lost on the aperture numbers though.. The Minolta I bought came with a MD Rokkor 50mm 1:17 lens, is that a good one to start with? On the aperture I have the numbers from 1.7 to 16. For now I just put it halfway at 5.6. What would you recommend? Thanks a lot already!

I just recieved an X-570 from a friend and didn't know anything about it. These two videos were very informative, thank you. I have not put batteries in it yet or film. I am having a problem though, when you take the picture you flip the switch to the next frame. My switch is stuck at halfway and will not completely move all the way around. What is the problem? Is it because it does not have batteries in it? Can you help me here please?

David, thanks for the video. Sorry if I missed this, but will the camera indicate if the fastest shutter speed will not be enough to properly expose the image? If I'm on the beach on a bright sunny day with my aperture wide open and a high ISO film speed, will the metering simply tell me to set my shutter to 1/1000 and blow out the image?
