We have had our 2020 Jeep Gladiator for 5 months months exactly, today. We have over 11, 000 miles on it and we’ve: JUMPED IT OFF A LOADING DOCK, DID A 4 WHEEL DRIVE BURNOUT, TOWED ALMOST 8, 000 POUNDS 2, 400 MILES ROUND TRIP, DRIFTED IT, DID DONUTS and quite a bit of other wild stuff. We just released a video explaining how to read a dealer invoice and what you should pay, WAY BELOW MSRP and INVOICE. Keep the videos coming!

New drinking game, every time he says “like a jeep wrangler” take a shot or atleast a swig.

I’m a F150 guy that absolutely loves these Jeep Trucks! Just seeing one makes me feel good inside, old VW’s, vans and bugs give me the same feeling, I just love em! I imagine the great things their drivers are doing on weekends, what a life they probably have, maybe I’ve seen to many beer commercials in 56 years.

One correction. The Gladiator is not a Wrangler with a pickup bed. The front frame is borrowed from the Wrangler, but the cab and rear frame come from a modified Ram frame. This why the wheel base is longer and why it has far more payload/towing than a Wrangler.

This is not a Wrangler with a bed. This a completely different vehicle from the frame up. It may look similar and may ride and drive similar but it’s not a Jeep Wrangler.

That sport version with the added goodies isn't the best one to show but you get what they gave you to review. But the hate on this truck makes no sense yes the price is up there but you wouldn't buy something you can't afford. This jeep is made here and tested here and they sell a ton of Wranglers every year and the jeep community wanted this truck and they are the ones jeep marketed this truck to! There are reviews showing what this truck can really do and the hater's are always going to hate because that's what they do!!!

65 comments at the time of commenting and ive read at least 12 about how for 50k you could buy an f150 or this or that blah blah blah. If you want/need an f150 go buy an f150, no one is holding a gun to your head and saying you buy a gladiator or you die. This truck is for those who want "a wrangler with a bed", those who want a convertible pickup, or those who just want a gladiator because they like it. Now I will say they are riding the jeep name a little with this truck, but the volume models are only 2-3k higher than the competition and every gladiator comes with a crew cab and removable doors/roof so tbh thats the price difference right there

Also every FCA hating fanboy whos probably never even owned one has crawled out from under their rock to comment about how garbage jeep is because its owned by fiat. Its amazing how one simple overview of a rather boring vehicle attracts the worst kind of attention.

People talk crap about this truck but then you see them at the dealer buying it. Come on folks be real to you’re selves. You know you like the Jeep Gladiator.

Coil springs front AND rear started in 1997 on the TJ. Not new.

I bought a Launch Addition and love it. It’s nothing like my F150 but I don’t need a truck much anymore.

Jeep placed the axle there to make the rear and center breakover similar to maximize its off-road ability.

I fully realize that the Monroney says its a Sport, but this model is a Sport S. A Sport (which I've yet to see on a dealer lot) has manual windows & manual locks. A Sport S has power locks & windows. I have no idea why Jeep didn't differentiate the models better...like make the Sport S a Sahara model instead, but this is a Sport S. Nice job on the walk through. I'm actually looking to order a Base Sport w/Max tow package...and that is still $40k...so really having a hard time pulling the trigger. Its just an obscene amount of money for the base truck.

A lot of money for what you are getting for sure. I have heard that the fuel economy is not that good? The departure angle is a concern for moderate off roading. Still, it is not a bad thing to have a Jeep pickup truck on the market. Long overdue. Personally I wish that Fiat-Chrysler would merge with an auto company that offered better powertrains.

I'd love one but at 30k not 50-80k like they are here in california

This base ($55k CAD)

Or the 4RUNNER SR5 ($49k CAD)

I think we know which is the clear winner.

I agree, the rear axles should have been further back. That long rear overhang would interfere with off-road capability.

Say this is a Jeep Wrangler with a pick up bed one more time, please.

Nice report! I currently own a wrangler and wish to get into trailer camping. One of the considerations I (we, wife and I) have is the Escape 5.0 5th wheel. From your in-depth knowledge and experience, could this jeep Gladiator be equipped to tow the Escape 5.0? Since it does have a soft top and removable rear doors, maybe an option would to install the soft top with the angle rear panel so that there is room for the fifth wheel to pivot? Thanks...
