Kae Wax Releases a New Single Titled “Way Up” featuring Flash iKumkani

16 April 2021, Cofimvaba, South Africa – Cape Town rapper and producer Kae Wax has released his new single titled “Way Up” featuring Flash iKumkani.

“Way Up” is a flamed Xhosa trap joint that everyone who renders it and ear with understanding should love. Kae Wax and Flash iKumkani reflect on growing up in the villages with nothing but a talent and love for music, and the challenges they grew up facing which shaped them into the artists they are. The message is clearly chasing your dreams against all odds, to never let where you come from determine how far you go. These two artists are beautiful examples of that as they both left the villages to pursue music as a career in big cities.

With Xhosa trap being a hot thing on the SA hip-hop streets, the collaboration between the two has been brewing and was supposed to happen last year when Flash iKumkani was in Cape Town to shoot “Umhluzi (Remix)”, he happened to be in Cape Town for a gig two weeks back and when he got to Kae Wax’s studio he loved “Way Up” and jumped on it with a killer verse. The beat is a beautiful delivery from Cape Town producer Ivy T.
