Mind, Body & The Matrix: The Role of Pumps and Other Therapies for Lipedema - Dr. Herbst

preview_player
Показать описание
Lipedema is a chronic and, in many cases, progressive disease. Over 25% of those diagnosed with this loose connective (fat) tissue disease also suffer from depression. Dr. Herbst explores the mind/body connection and how stress affects the extracellular matrix, which is the support system to all body functions. The role of inflammation and recommendations on how lipedema patients can reduce stress are also reviewed.

I see so many ladies that have the same body type as I do. Lipedema is it’s own body type. Many of us look just like the drawing in the beginning of the video.

As for bariatric surgery...I had it after years of being treated with open contempt by Dr.'s. I lost ZERO weight. I lost all the weight I could before the surgery. I allowed the medical community to mutilate me because I was desperate. I knew there was something wrong with my fat. I had been trying to lose weight for 4o years but when you hear that you just have no discipline or self will and all you have to do is diet and exercise you doubt yourself. I did. Now I finally get a diagnosis after all that and I'm kind of furious. IF YOU HAVE WIEGHT YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN DON'T GET BYPASS SURGERY. Yes, I did the caps.

I have Lipedema and lymphedema and I believe mast cell activation from covid and Long Covid. So much of this overlaps. My limbs swelled three times their size when I had covid and now I have all of the above. This Al really relates to one another.
