Dr. Henein, a Professor at the University of Alberta, is an expert in micro and high performance alloys, and in powder metallurgy. His innovations include steels for pipelines and SAGD processes; his research led to the manufacturing of the first X100 steel grade. For almost three decades he has mentored students and developed new material science teaching methodologies.

I have meet Dr. Henein in 2013, when I has been selected as an ELAP award recipient. I've learned a lot from Dr. Henein, and I am very grateful for the opportunity he gave me to work in the weldability of microalloyed steels. I am very grateful for everything.
