Hi Dale, your videos are always of great help for Guys lire me that are not 'machinist gurus '. Chanels of thelazzymachinist and yours are my favorite to learn these little things that simplify the lire in worshop.
Best for 2016.

Great tip like the previous video. I especially liked the tip on setting the angle plate so that there is a "run off" at one end to prevent damage to the indicator if the operator gets distracted momentarily.

I really do enjoy you tutorials Dale . Thanks for taking the time to share what you know. I recently screwed up and made an air rifle using an old drill press and a cross slide vice, it gained the attention of an investor and he purchase a 12x 36 lathe and an 835 knee mill. I now find myself overwhelmed and am sweating bullets try to learn all I can, and you are a big part of my educational team 😉

Good, Fun demo Dale. Myself I would rather attach the Indicator not to the quill but a hard point on the head if there is one available. Thank you and Happy New Year.

Hey great video! I'm new to the trade. I'm doing machining in my shop now with not a lot of training it's more trial and error lol, but anyway your videos really help out a lot thank you!

This is a KEEPER Dale. I have already purchased a set of angle block(s) I thought that would be used only on the metal lathe, but with this trick, I won't have to invest in a swivel base for the Milling vise. :-)

Great video Dale! This technique works well in more than one type of setup! I was watching some of your older videos last night. Your production quality has improved by leaps and bounds! These are definitely professional quality teaching videos!

Nice video! Could you set 30 deg. On your vise base and measure how much runout you get over 3 in? I am just wondering how much accuracy we can expect from the base dial.

Dale, yesterday, I needed to put the vise back on the mill after using a dividing head and used your bumpity bump technique. Worked great...! Thanks for that. It makes switching back and forth between vises and whatnots a lot faster. What's your opinion on keying the vise to the T-slots? Is the repeatability good? Your thoughts please.... Cheers, Daniel
