When Denise Huskins was kidnapped, her boyfriend Aaron Quinn went to the police, but they didn't believe him. Even when Denise was released and told her story, the Vallejo Police Department told the media, it was all fake. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

Imagine resigning yourself to being murdered, and being repeatedly SAed on tape, miraculously being let go, and then THE POLICE TELLING THE WORLD YOU DID IT!

I don't remember where I saw it, but many years ago, as a young man, I saw the quote, "There is no situation that cannot be made worse by the police."

Obviously the perpetrator is beyond redemption, but there’s also a special place in hell for Detective Mustard and the entire Vallejo Police Department who dismissed and defamed this poor couple. Absolutely disgusting. Detective Misty Carausu at least went some way in restoring my faith in the police.

Big respect to the Lady Police officer who noticed the similarities and tied the two cases together.

He has a lisp. I'm pretty sure Denise would recognize his voice. This guy is a complete psychopath. I've heard this story many times, but you, Jiles, by far, have done the best job covering it. Thank you.

Did detective mustard think gone girl was a documentary?
I’m glad they made the Netflix special so the police department can feel really embarrassed.

I can’t help thinking about “Colonel Mustard” from the old Clue board game whenever I hear this detective’s name. Just about as useful, too. <insert eye roll here> Great job on this case as always, Jiles. Heard it before elsewhere, but you always bring new details.

Glad you took the extra time to expose the gross mishandling of the case by Vallejo Police Dep't, especially the defective detectives. They should be exposed to the public and to other police departments to put awareness where it needs to be. What a gross travesty of justice to the victims and the public in general.

The Vallejo PD should have been sued into insolvency as a result of this case. The community would have been better off using the proceeds of the lawsuit to establish a completely brand new police force.

That Police Department would actually probably like to sweep that under the rug as making those statements on television has got to be a giant embarrassment to them and doesn't give the public much confidence in them

A female LE officer could recognize the truth, even from a distance. While a man named Mustard, couldn't be convinced; maybe his huge ego, blocked his view?

The documentary about this case absolutely BLEW me away. Thank you for covering this one further!! They deserve so much more after the way the police handled it.

This case is crazy and the way it played out is brutal. Those cops are idiots. Thanks, Jiles.

Just saw this on Netflix, it's horrible what this man did but the fact that Aaron and Denise faced it together and ended up married with two beautiful children makes this a happy story.

The two lovely babies Denise and Aaron produced are the best therapy for them. Denise's strength is remarkable.

So glad they were able to weather the storm. May their life be full of happiness that shades out the difficult events.

If mustard was the one to go to the second kidnap attempt he'd probably be like... "Wet suits!? Aaron & Denise have gone too far!"
