Now, if you want it to go REALLY fast you need a peel & stick hood scoop and a sticker that says TURBO.

You're not gaining 30% hp. You're reclaiming your throttle response.

Wow what a simple fix, I went out right after watching your video, sure enough I had 2 inches of cable extra, put on the zip ties and my 97 f150 with 245000 miles has new power! Thanks for the video 👍

That is great I have a 02 and a 03 10th Gen. First thing tomorrow is the zip tie spacer, thank you keep up the content. 🇺🇸

I had a 99 lariat, green and gold. Awesome truck, I did the same thing, worked well. The biggest improvement was the larger throttle body. It was reasonably cheap on eBay. It just bolted on. A new return spring and a high flow air filter was worth about 40 horsepower more all said and done.

I’ll definitely have to do that on my 10th gen, feels like it’s halfway to the floor just being easy on it haha. Thanks for the idea

First off,

love the new headlights… I bought the same design for my old ‘99 F150 and loved them. They look like the ‘04-08 generation and look killer!!
Secondly, my ‘99 felt the same way so it probably had that same issue with the cable!!
Keep up the incredible work!! 👍

What did you do to that exhaust so I know what not to do to mine?

Holy cow. I was skeptical until you explained it and It made a lot of sense so I tried it. I estimate you're getting about 10% of the throttle back per zip tie and mine took three zip ties lol. What a difference It's a whole new pickup it feels like. Thank you for that insight.

If you wanna gain more hp. Superchips still sells a setup for your truck. Talk about waking it up. It has adjustment for your wheel ratio and how long to hold a shift. It has a towing tune that will fit right in with your larger wheels, also you can take your rev limiter off and remove the speed governor. Not bad for, well it may be like 400 bucks but well spent. It advances your timing as well, that is built into the tune

I noticed the same gap on my 97 Chevy pickup and was thinking of what to use to accomplish this hack, but had not considered zip ties. I will do this to it. Thank you for the video!

my dad had a 2000 with a 5.4 stock exhaust and true full throttle sounded amazing and never got stretched that I remember and something i noticed before he sold it was that it felt that it had a massive cam but it was just plugs

Tried this on my 03 F250, its got a fresh rebuild but had the original linkage, feels so much more responsive. Thank you man!

I think Larry needs a green color matched grille and silver bumper plastics to match the two tone

I used to have a 1996 F-150 extended cab the same color. It didn't have the grey trim along the bottom. The mag wheel were a little different. You need a new or repaired driver seat.

Nice truck. What size wheels and tires you’re riding on? How much lift?

You can achieve the same thing by bending the bracket that holds the cable at the throttle body. It did make a noticable difference in a 4.3

What size and what kind of lift do you have on your truck? I’m loving that height and stance of the truck.
