it’s a real J-Pop. Traveling the 40 years of the time, she is on the debut of the world music.

She was my first. Besides Kaoru Akimoto and Miyoko Yamaguchi, Meiko was my life when i first discovered City Pop. So Shine was my favorite song. Her genres fluctuated and I found that unique about her. It wasn't the typical groovy, late 70's/early 80's vibe, it wasn't fully new wave, she had some tropical vibes, she had some bossa nova vibes, and the bass in all her songs were the highlight. I wished she stuck around after the 90's, it would've been nice to hear what her music would've been like after that. Ah, she's amazing ❤❤❤

Japanese songs are full of emotions and feelings. They don't just say these words, they feel them and they make the listener enjoy and go to another world 🥰

진짜 일본 문화는 이때가 탑이였음
일본은 어설프게 K-POP 따라히기보단 80년대 시티팝의 장점을 따오는게 더 나은거 같다

This really gives me Diana Ross and The Supremes energy. The Japanese did a really good job of mimicking and translating soul and funk music to their own culture.
