Hemsby is a popular holiday seaside village located near Great Yarmouth and Norwich on the coast of Norfolk, England. Hemsby is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, vibrant tourist scene, and a range of holiday activities. It has been a popular travel and tourism destination for tourists and holidaymakers for many years.

The beach, to the north of Great Yarmouth and Caister, was closed earlier this year when high tides claimed metres of sand from the access point known as "the gap". Five homes on The Marrams were demolished before they collapsed into the sea.

Only a few miles north of Great Yarmouth you'll find Hemsby and Newport which together form a lively village seaside resort and an ideal touring base for Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads and surrounding area.

Hemsby is divided into two main areas: the village and the beach. The village has a number of shops and attractive buildings, including the 12th century church of St. Mary the Virgin. Beach Road plays host to a range of eateries and amusements including a fun fair and bingo, crazy golf and several clubs providing family entertainment including dancing and nightly discos.

Visitors love the beautiful sandy beach at Hemsby and Newport, sheltered by sand dunes. Scroby Sands is easily visible from the wide sloping beach which also features some World War II relics, a scattering...

The main attraction of Hemsby is its stunning coastline, which stretches along the eastern edge of the village. The beach is a major draw for visitors, offering long stretches of golden sand, dunes, and picturesque views of the North Sea. It's a great spot for sunbathing, picnicking, building sandcastles, and taking leisurely walks along the shore.

Hemsby is also famous for its thriving holiday park, which caters to a large number of visitors. The holiday park features a range of accommodations, including caravans, chalets, and camping facilities, making it a popular choice for families and those seeking a traditional seaside vacation. The park provides a variety of amenities and entertainment options, including swimming pools, amusement arcades, restaurants, bars, and live entertainment.

For those looking for additional activities, Hemsby offers a range of attractions and things to do, especially on Beach Road where you'll find lots of amusement arcades, cafe's and shops. The village has a small but lively amusement park called The Fun Park featuring thrilling rides, go-karts, mini-golf, and other attractions for both children and adults. There are also several arcades, shops, and restaurants in the area, providing entertainment and dining options.

Nature enthusiasts can explore the nearby Norfolk Broads, a network of rivers, lakes, and marshes famous for its diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes.

Hemsby is well-positioned to explore the broader region of Norfolk. The historic city of Norwich, with its medieval architecture, shopping districts, and cultural attractions, is within easy reach. Other nearby places of interest include the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic town of Great Yarmouth, and the charming coastal villages along the Norfolk coastline.

In summary, Hemsby is a charming holiday village in Norfolk, England, offering a beautiful coastline, a vibrant holiday park, a range of attractions and activities, and easy access to the wider Norfolk region. It is a popular destination for families and tourists seeking a classic seaside getaway.

We went there for years. The next road over which sadly you missed is where the holiday camps are nice and secluded. With other walks down to the beach. We now retired to devon but have lots of memories and photos of lovely Hemsby ❤

Great Vid 👍 When I was a kid used to jump off that pill box that is now in the sea onto sand dunes which have sadly disappeared then run 50 metres to the sea 👍Mother nature is claiming back it’s land 👍 That ice cream van is the same one that used to run up and down the beach back in the 70’s and early 80’s, Great place Hemsby is always visit 3 or 4 times a year lots of good childhood memories for me ❤️👍

The one thing I love about your videos is how immersive they all are. Popping my headphones on, I may as well be at the locations you travel. As for Hemsby, an old-fashioned seaside quality and feel to it. Lovely beach to walk along, too. Cheers for such another great tour, Neil. 👍

What a cute little place, the beach looks lovely but i dont think id like to sit below the cliffs, ive just overlaid a map from the 1900s over the present day coastline and its shocking how much has been lost, im afraid we cant fight mother nature shes taking back what she thinks is hers, i would still like to visit Cromer, Sheringham and Hemsby before too much more of it disappears into the sea great video as usual thanks .

Be going to Hemsby in August when we have our holiday in great yarmouth 😊 watched a program about a chap who has moved his house from the edge twice ! What I couldn't beleave was at the end of the program it said the local council had given planning permission for sea defences your losing a place at a rapid rate and you still got to have planning permission the mind boggles at the need for red tape in this situation!

Love Hemsby still traditional and fun been going since I was a baby and also my children (now adults) still love to go up for our annual holiday roll on October can't wait! So sad to see the coastal erosion happening though I remember the big sand dunes. Great video
