the thing I like about your videos is the image and sound quality.I also like the cameraman's part (focuses from the one side of the keyboard to the other)

Nothing beats alps switches on for a pure typing experience. Buckling springes come close though.

I don't know if you actually typed with them but it feels pretty damn good to me. I do sometimes make typos because of the smoothness but I'm still getting used to it I guess.

1kHz USB polling is pretty standard stuff isn't it, also the PS/2 port keyboards you mentioned usually had a USB adapter on it like this one does the reverse. The 'clicking' happens because you're bottoming out the switches, you only have to press it a tiny bit for it to register.

@ehab007bob its just how the keyboard works. the two main types are membrane-with a plastic bubble that gets pushed down (most common), and mechanical-with a spring that collapses to activate the key press. membrane keyboards are cheaper, and have a shorter lifespan, while mechanical keyboards are more expensive and last for a lot of key presses. that doesn't necessarily mean that mechanical keyboards are better, as with any peripheral, it's all about preference

These were shown at i41 in the UK on the Thermaltake Stand back in 2010

@reloadro Because the old white keyboards inevitably yellow after a few months. Black ones don't show up dirt as much which is why they quickly became the standard. Apple products do not suffer from this due to being constantly replaced and updated by their owners.

The PS/2 Port's actually used for NKRO as USB only supports up to 6 keys registered simultaneously.

If they made this keyboard with some backlighting so I could use it in the dark it would be perfect.

If this keyboard had a backlight, I might actually buy it.

@Slartibartable If you use the USB to PS2 adapter included it will recognize over 6 keypresses at once.

you should make a twist test video for it. you know like how you twist out ice cubes from those 80's plastic ice cube trays. i had a saitek eclipse and it wasn't stiff at all and inevitably fell apart so i bought a $20 dollar one from walmart and it fell apart too so i had to go back to my 6 year old dell which doesn't flex that much and has lasted for a long time.

Guys, buy a Microsoft Sidewinder X6. Seriously, backlit with red LED, Moveable #pad, and a bunch of macros. I love and its relatively cheap
