There's one more secret in this game, though it isn't a secret level or ending or anything. Instead, you can keep jumping down the pits in Peaceful Hill on purpose just to wind up Sonic.exe. Do it enough, and he'll close the game on you out of annoyance.

I love this retake a lot since it's got a proper feeling of what a sequel should have been. And the usage of it being Sonic 2 not only because of Sonic 2 Pink Edition but also because Sonic.exe is technically Sonic 1, which is perfect.

I like that they redid the whole game from scratch, my only complaint is Sally’s part. Your telling me that she’s watching her whole kingdom burn to the ground, yet suspiciously the only person around is Sonic, and yet she still has the time to kiss Sonic, AND let him pick her up and throw her in lava… so many opportunities she could have escaped yet she kinda just let herself get killed so easily. That’s just me though, great gameplay

The fact that this version of the game uses Sonic 2 as it's basis is so perfect. And having this game's version of Sonic.exe just looking like regular Sonic with pinprick eyes and a wide ear-to-ear grin, rather than the trademark black eyes, red pupils and bloody tears, is just so refreshing to see, and adds more of a sense of familiarity that also makes you feel uneasy at the same time.

Ok the retake is looking for beautiful. But is difficult the game for experience and by round 2
