Russian missiles rain on Kramatorsk as troops push further into the Donbas

Russia's defence ministry said on Thursday its forces had shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft near the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk region as Moscow has stepped up its "military operation" into the Donbas.

A school and several nearby homes in the city were destroyed as a result of Russia’s missiles.

Yevhen Harbach, 71, and his 68-year-old wife Svitlana were woken by the sound of missiles hitting and managed to make it onto the street after their house started falling around them. It’s now completely destroyed.

17-year-old Dmytro who graduated from the school two years ago said the attack was a “terrible shame.”

Ukrainian officials have said they expect Kramatorsk, a city of more than 150,000 people before the Russian invasion, to become one of the main focuses of Russia's offensive in eastern Ukraine.

Now that sign was planted. You are going to have a school that has the Ukrainian and possibly Russian language and then it's going to have one line in English that says smart kids so Americans and English citizens assume it's a school. I like how the sign is really white after making it through a bombing and all the crumbling concrete and dirt and dust. I wish I knew Russian or Ukrainian so I could know what they are really saying.

And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound ?

If Allah had willed to choose a son, He could have chosen what He would of that which He hath created. Be He Glorified! He is Allah, the One, the Absolute.

If ye are thankless, yet Allah is Independent of you, though He is not pleased with thanklessness for His bondmen; and if ye are thankful He is pleased therewith for you. No laden soul will bear another’s load. Then unto your Lord is your return; and He will tell you what ye used to do. Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts (of men).
