The key to understanding electronics is to first understand ohms law. giving you the tools to move forward onto more electronics theory.

Every little helps :)

I = V/R

V = I * R

R = V/I

R = Resistance (ohms)

I = Current (Amps)

V = Volts

Sir, I Thank you very much. After 31 years of my education with lots of doubts uncleared during my childhood and the lecturers who themselves were not aware of because of lack of technology, now I could understand electronics. It happened only because of you. Salute Sir.

This video is 5 years old at this point in time. But i have never seen a video better illustrate this. Nor have i had a teacher explain it as well as you did. An amazing video all around.

You my friend, are the best professor someone could have.

You are by far the best teacher of electronics i've encountered on youtube, i wasn't very good at understanding electrical and electronic systems but you've simplified everything down to the point where i could even explain this to someone if i needed to. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expanding mine.

This is very good video very simple, but very helpful to understand the basics of electronics. It is amazing how a well designed teaching material can be understood in few minutes rather than spending hours reading the books, with not good results sometimes.

it was really helpfull to me
imagine that i watched many videos but i couldnt understand what is really ohms law mean
but you explained it differently

SO... many other videos try to show what you just did simply and plainly. THANK YOU!

This is a cool simulating software. I see it’s called Every Circuit.

Very educational video. I've worked with schematic design applications in some of my digital logic courses, but this one seems absolutely fantastic. I love how it actually animates your circuit to show the current flow.

You don't need the full 20mA to light up an LED. Even as low as 1mA an LED will still light up quite well. Good presentation!

Something important to notice is that, when we change the resistance, it affects the current and the change in the current affects the voltage.So changing current will affect voltage and changing voltage will affect current. BUT changing resistance causes change in both current and voltage.

Lost me at 4:41. The battery supplies 5v the led needs 3v. The resistor is 2v, but resistors are measured in amps or ohms? What are all these terms? Needs clarification for the beginner.

This looks like a brilliant series. I've stumbled upon other episodes before, but I think I should watch the whole thing. Also Everycircuit looks like exactly the kind of software I've been looking for to visualise circuits. I know bringing out breadboards and my multimeter is probably the most educational way, but I like the idea of being able to do digital prototyping in a straightforward and simple way too.
