Fun fact: it was intended for Quinn to move in with Rachel and Kurt in New York. NOT Santana. (Quinn would’ve been expelled from Yale after she was exposed for having an illegal affair with her professor. Santana, just like she says here, would stay in McKinley with Brittney but as the new Cheerios! Coach and would’ve been an antagonist to Finn’s New Directions Finn would’ve been the “new mr. schue” and Santana was the “new Sue Sylvester”)...BUT...

Corey had a tragic death which effected everyone, Lea Michelle in particular. She pushed everyone away and wanted the show to just end. She particularly pushed Diana Agron to the point where she refused to cooperate with Diana. This forced Ryan Murphy to completely rewrite Season 5 to change Quinn’s role with Santana. But then, Lea Michelle started to push Naya Rivera as well and that’s when they had that infamous feud.

TLDR; Ryan Murphy had cool plans but Corey died and Lea wanted the show to end but Ryan Murphy insisted and it caused major resentment for all involved.
