Verlander's 1 World Series win was rough. Phillies had runners in scoring position every inning and just couldn't get it done. I'd be very concerned with Verlander and Scherzer in the playoffs. I don't see the Mets repeating what they did last year. Still a good team though.

Mets improved pitching. SP should be a little more resilient, and the bullpen now has lefties we can trust.

Marte and Escobar are well past their prime.

Lol, the Braves have a better lineup than the Mets. The Mets are consistent and patient though and play within themselves which is something that I know the Braves are capable of but don’t practice. Philly has all of the offense in the world but they’ll give up a ton due to below average defense. The Mets may have better pitching than ATL. If Soroka and Anderson can perform, then that will definitely give ATL the best pitching in the East. Mets are a strong #2 though.

I’ll tell you what’s wrong with the Mets, first get rid of epller he has wasted Cohens money on a bullpen that has no go relievers next as for starting pitchers there are only 3 good ones, Max, Justin and kodai. Sell carrasco who is inconsistent. Next marte should shape up and stop swinging at pitches in the dirt, the opposing pitches know he a sucker for these pitches so they give them to him. I comment Alonso for changing his hitting performance he used to swing at those outside pitches which should have been balls and was swinging at them and reaching for them and would ruin his batting stance now he waits for the ball to come to him and he has 24 homers. I like Lindy but he changed the way he hits now he swings at pitches that bring him down on one knee and he looks like he’s praying before he swings. I can keep going but I can see a team that isn’t hungry. Like in the movie Rocky3, the Mets don’t have THE EYE OF THE TIGER.
