Rahul Gandhi, previously elected as MP from Wayanad in 2019 and the recent Lok Sabha elections, chose to retain his Rae Bareli seat in 2024, resigning from Wayanad. The visit aims to assess the disaster response and support relief efforts.

There are no need for politicians or parties are required to visit these disaster areas because it's a criminal expenditure to public money Let these people stay wherever and let Army, Navy, Airforce, NDRF AND other social organisation dovthe job alongwith the support of locals and police to see thatbthe normalcy return.
Every policians of India will never do justification to such disaster but politicise in their favour. Therefore Court should advise that in future not a single political party should visit those areas where disaster happens because it's a criminal waste cum expenditure / security.Only ARMY NAVY AIRFORCE NDRF AND OFFICIALS SHOULD DIRECT THIS SITUATION IN A WARFOOTING TO SAVE WHEREVER POSDIBLE. CM or HM or opposition leaders only take advantage of such disaster and media will also play negatives to public hence blame game will only follow everywhere.

Otherwise the area will be crowded and may interrupt rescue mission.And also he done a great job in Parliament when Finance budget was announced.
