It's working with a 15 kHz analog rgb monitor, so there has to still be something wrong with the gbs-8200. :/

Comment from the other video: So now I'm pretty sure it's the GBS-8200. I've reflowed everything that has anything to do with the video input, and now I'm getting a green screen with garbage on it when I select the RGBS input. Same garbage when I pull the RBB lines off and just feed it csync. I've tried XOR and OR sync, both inverted and non-inverted, and it all results in the same garbage. I guess I'll order another GBS-8200, as this one is way past the return period. I should have tested it when I first got it, but I put it on the shelf to wait for this project. :/

You're reminding me I need to get off my lazy butt and try making a digital-to-analog RGB dingus myself.

Those old Commodore monitors are pretty sought after for retro computers. They can take almost everything.
