Actually I think that is kind of cool, I have spent hours in Rift crafting and have always wondered why you do not get any kind of experience from it despite being able to get EXP from just about any other content in Rift. Spending a couple of hours at a workbench or loom in Rift is kind of off putting when I think about how much PA EXP I could have been getting if I were to have spent that time doing dungeons or world events.

Good to see that crafting is going to be taken a little more seriously in this game.

i guess I have 2 questions. First, you have to have 10 lumber to get a scarecrow garden right? and my second question is where are there open spaces for a scarecrow garden?

This can't be done any longer with Patch 1.2 on Alpha.  Uprooting anything gives no experience now.  This is outdated information and doesn't work any longer on the North American English Language version of the game.

Imo that's kind of a waste of labor points. Why nit just go mining ? You earn a ton of gold off gems/stone/ores.

Also, you don't need a scarecrow plot to do this... just go to a grassy space and do the same method.

well, i guess i know how i'll be spending weeks after i hit cap after launch leveling up every single skill tree. that is unless they nerf the living hell out of this.
