I’ve seen people complain about the animation, but I enjoy this approach. The action style from this trailer fits the tone of the series. It’s not choppy animation and it isnt being replaced with still-frames. There is still some great animated sequences here. The unrealistic aspects of the action can have short-cuts while still fitting the tone and stil working in conjunction with the rest of the animation. It also looks like there is room to add to the animation budget if it takes off because there still a mix of animation styles. It doesn’t look like it would be out of place to animate with a better framerate.

THIS TRAILER MADE ME SMILE FOR REAL. Im a huge fan of the Manga, I think is one of the best new-gen, super funny and goated action. I hope fellas on the internet can shadow the animation critics cause the pencil drawn style in the manga was critized at first but it allows it to be super fluid. Trust me, this show will get better and better and they will invest more in animation if that is necessary.

If I had a nickel everytime an actor from the One Piece live-action series goes on to voice a character in an English dubbed anime. I’ll have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happens twice.
