When we have chickenpox as children, it’s two viruses at the same time. The second virus hides in the nerve endings around your body but mostly in the face/head and is the one that causes cold sores. If you’re tired or stressed it can really get going and cause shingles. Once you’ve had it, it unfortunately hangs around and can return again and again, usually in the same nerve that was affected first time round. Mine was the left side if the face and over the eye, and if I’m stressed or it’s really hot weather I get the tingle and nerved pain but no rash. Horrible, can’t wait till I’m old enough to qualify for the vaccination. 🤣

My Mom had shingles on her head and down her forehead almost to her eye... when my dad was dying in the hospital... stress related.
