Realizing the black heart wasn’t Rio, but Billy the whole time and Lilia couldn’t write his name because of the sigil.

Also loved Billy's line about not wanting to go back into the closet.

LOVED the interrogation scene from Billy's perspective. That chase is so clumsy it was great xD

I think this episode did a really great job simplifying yet adapting Billy Kaplan's origin story very well/faithfully for the MCU. Adapting the comics very faithfully while also fitting it into the established world and continuity of the MCU seamlessly. Must have been a very tricky thing to pull off, but in my opinion, I think the writers did it very well.

I like how they showed how much The Hex really messed up Ralph and the guilt he feels about it

I absolutely LOVE the origin story they gave Billy, close enough to the comics but also easy to understand for mainstream audiences.

I loved the “don’t you dare feel guilty about your talent” line. That was the real—the hurt and innocent—Agatha. The villainy is a facade. I love the depth of her character.

All that Mephisto speculation in the last episode: You’ve been “Bohner-ed” again!

I think this is the saddest episode too. Billy Kaplan died, he’s gone, all his memories, and who he is, is gone. This young boy, the day of his Bar Mitzvah, snuffed out. And to make it worse, his body remains, used by a magic soul creation. His parents see their son, but it’s not him any more.

And when you think about it, he has spent more time as Billy Kaplan, than Billy Maximoff. Jeff and Rebecca have raised him for 3 years, while he popped into existence and rapidly aged with Wanda and Vision for only a few weeks.

Marvel seriously keeps winning with the shows, like what in the world?! Agatha All Along is probably my favorite show rn

Agatha's brooch was in a plastic bag because Agatha was living a police sitcom fantasy. She "found" the brooch at the "crime scene" (probably her living room), bagged it for evidence (put it in a ziplock bag) and put it into the evidence locker (her jewelry box).

She says “you can’t kill me, it’s not allowed” because death herself can’t take the life, not because Agatha is invulnerable

LILLIA THEORY- I think Lillia Calderu wanted to save William, but her powers told her not to. The tower reversed was for her. If she tried to save him, she would have been resisting or denying an important or nessisary change. She had to let him become Wiccan. The sigil was so she wouldn't have to live with the guilt, not to protect him from anything. The sigil protects her from traumatic memories. Even when working a bar mitzvah, she has at least one sigil on hand to protect herself from the trauma of witnessing these horrible futures. It is a super sad practice but also pretty ingenious. Except all those little sigils eventually add up to a lot of missing pieces. Those missing pieces may be the cause of all the issues she's having. So her completing the witches road would magically destroy all the sigils she created over the centuries, give her back all her memories, and also allow her better control over her divination abilities.

You seem to have missed that William's reflection in the crystal ball was wearing Billy's clothes.

The song that Billy and Eddie are listening to in the car is by Orville Peck, who is a gay singer, but also he performs wearing a mask that conceals his identity, much like Billy's true identity is hidden.

As a Jewish professional and comics nerd, I was VERY happy with how Marvel handled Kaplan's Jewish representation! And ScreenCrush did a great job pointing out the Jewish content! Two additional Jewish "easter eggs" (is that a thing??): 1) The last name Kaplan is a variant of Cohen, the Hebrew word for Priest that many believe signifies priestly lineage in a Jewish family (passed down through the father). This lends even more meaning to William's Torah portion being about the sons of Aaron (the High Priest) offering "strange fire" on the altar. 2) When the Kaplans return home from the hospital, a mezuzzah is clearly visible on the door. Not only is this a lovely additional touch of Jewish realism, but the mezuzzah itself is kind of like a sigil - protecting the home and those who come and go from it. It contains a famous passage from the Torah about teaching your children of God's unity - "when you sit in your house and when you WALK ON THE ROAD" (Deut. 6:7)

I like how Billys resurrected soul was a simple explanation without lots of dumb nutty over complicated comic chaos

When Eddie says he thought it was an avengers training exercise, I’m fairly sure it’s a callback to when Tony said “Training exercise, isn’t that the usual BS” in Iron Man 1 when Rhodey asks what he’s gonna tell the press

Loved that detail of William in the crystal ball being Billy how he’s dressed in the present

Calling Tommy “Toby” wasn’t a slip up. Agatha’s pushing Billy’s buttons, learning how to manipulate him. She can’t remember Sharon’s name because a) she was trapped in the Agnes persona for the last three years and b) she doesn’t care who Sharon is. She knew Billy and Tommy in the hex, she used them as hostages, she knows Wanda created them with her scarlet witch chaos magic. Free of the illusion and not blinded by the sigil, she very much cares about the only available links to Wanda’s power.
