Costco Rubber Mulch after 2 years

This is a quick overview of how well my rubber much has held up after 2 years. This is NOT for everyone and can hurt or kill plants. In my case, I have mature bushes and tree in my flower bed and it works very well keeping it look nice and neat.

I use rubber mulch and prefer it over wood mulch, it holds it's color and is easy to put down. Whereas regular wood mulch falls apart, loses it's color and is a mess to put down. Also wood mulch attracts termites!😱

Place some old cardboard down before the rubber mulch and it will keep weeds out and breakdown slowly over time. It also helps retain a little water for your plants. Plus it's a great way to recycle even more.

would be better just to have a 3 or 4 foot wide rubber mulch mate wont blow away easy to get fall leaves off .going to start to glue my pieces together thanks for the idea

So I have two brick beds in front of my house that grows back every year a plant. Do I get rid of the plant when I lay the rubber mulch down? I was thinking of putting a fake plant but I kinda wouldn't mind nothing but the rubber mulch bc I don't want the plants to get pushed out or somehow the wind end up having it in the yard knocked out. My friend always have dto reposition his fake plants back in the ground. Don't know if squirrels or nature keeps uprooting them. but I want a pretty yard without the green thumb work. I'm sick of remulching once a year

I have rubber mulch in one area. Never attracted that green striped snake. :)

Blow it with a blow dryer with settings on low and cool. I found rubber mulch maintenance is minimal compare to the mulch

Should go with a glued in rubber mulch solution. Won't blow away with a leaf blower.

Use mulch glue and it's easy to sweep out of beds or pathways

Due to your review I will not be going the rubber mulch route. It’s not for me because the biggest turn off is that it’s rubber, and it will still be rubber 100 years from now. I do applaud the convenience of it all though.

My neighbors put rubber mulch in their yard. On hot days it smells like a tire center.🤢

Do you have issues with webs on your rubber mulch. I have rubber mulch around my tree but have several webs even when I take them off

It won't decompose. You want your mulch to decompose to add nutrients to your soil. If you don't want to re-mulch, buy a condo.
