This is the only symphonic rock album I’ve liked a great deal. While I tried to enjoy some of the other efforts, when they redo the song with a live symphony… it just doesn’t work completely. The symphony often over powers the band at moments… sometimes there’s a cacophony of sound which even conflict at moments. While a fun experiment, I inevitably find the versions lacking to the originals. Def Leppard did it right, and a few of these songs are at least the equal of the original.
