I'm a starting dog groomer and I bought my first brown and white poodle puppy last month. she is 4 months old and I have been working with her on basics, and the bathing process. She has gotten way better since the first time I groomed her now it's a peice of cake. I love your videos you do everything I want to do with my dogs

🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩 Your Poodle, Gatsby is beautiful! It’s a joy to watch her romp. Thank you for posting such a happy video.
Once you go Poodle, you never go back!
All dogs rock, but only Poodles rock and roll with style.
My Pound Poodle (purebred rescue Poodle), Gracie, hates being groomed. Of course, she is the best dog ever, but she has to have a no frills cut because she’s not happy about getting bathed, groomed or brushed. A pawdicure is the only beauty procedure she tolerates without getting the vapors.
Due to her fear of groomers, I have to clip her myself. Luckily she is a toy Poodle and the Vet approves of my Poodle’s hair cut, so I can keep her presentable by myself.
Even though grooming a terrified dog is a difficult task, it’s by no means an impossible one. It would be great if Poodle Rescue Organizations held “how to groom Poodles” events. That way, prospective Poodle families would not only know what is involved with grooming a Poodle, but would also be able to learn some basic Poodle grooming techniques. With the sorry state that our economy’s currently in, it’s both sad and scary to think that dogs who need special grooming may be given up or not adopted because of the high cost of professional grooming.
By the way, a wise person once said, “All owners think their dog is the best dog in the world and they are all correct.”

We have a miniature poodle❤ he is the most affectionate dog and duper smart. The puppy wipes have been a life saver. I use them for his face and coat but we do have to bathe him at least once every two weeks. I brush him like every other day and he actually loves it! I like the teddy bear look on him and the puppy or more rounded face look. If you use detailing spray it really helps. I trim his face, ears, paws and bottom ones a month .😊 I then do a full hair trim about every 3 months or so. Make sure you use a good quality dog shampoo and a good deep conditioner. I use the 2-in-1 oatmeal + coconut by Precious Tails Pet Supply Co. I found it at TJ Max. Then I use a deep conditioner for about 30 secs or a minute but it trully does make a difference on the softnes of their curly coat . We love his energetic personality❤❤❤😅 🐩

I have three poodles and the amount of time spent brushing, bathing and grooming is insane. My poodles hair gets matted quicker than any other breed of dog I’ve ever owned. It’s all worth it though, they are the best breed ever❤

If you work with your pup early and often they eventually love the grooming process. My dogs fight over who gets to go first because grooming means they get lots of tasty treats and attention.

My dog is a rescue, he has a lot of sensory issues and he hates being brushed and he does not and will not sit threw a grooming session so I keep him short and clean because that’s the easiest for both of us :)

Just watch a little TV and brush them out for a few minutes a day. It's not that bad.

Which cut is your favorite? I loved him in the teddy bear looking cut. But he is beautiful in all of them.

It takes me 2+ hours a week to groom my toy poodle sd, nails, bath, teeth, haircut, and kills my back, i cant imagine a standard 😩 i love poodles and i thought of getting a standard for my next sd prospect but i just cant do that level of grooming 😭

I may get a standard but i really doubt it, My next prospect will probably be either be a blue lacy or a smooth fox terrier depending on some factors, (btw im a dog trainer i know how high strung both those breeds are, anything but that grooming) 😆👍

I like those 2 breeds for the tasks i would need them to learn, plus very unlikely to not be suitable for work due to that high energy, won't loose drive for a long time 🙂

Every time I take mine to the park after it's rained he needs a whole bath because the mud gets so stuck in his hair.

Hi, Im looking into potentially getting a poodle pup to train to be my service dog to help me with my POTS, CPTSD, anxiety & schizophrenia. My aunt has one and he’s been such an incredible service dog for her! Do you have any advice on finding a breeder and trainer? What was it like when you got your service dog and is there anything I should watch out for? Sorry to bother you with questions. I’m just trying to learn as much as possible.
