Panovich: Hazy, hot, humid for now

Tonight:

Partly cloudy, warm, and very muggy with an isolated evening shower or a thunderstorm. Temperatures will struggle to get down into the low 70s. the chance of rain is 30%.

Friday:

Hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening. The rain/storm chance Thursday will be around 40% and around 40% Friday. Winds will be southwesterly around five to ten mph. Temperatures overnight will drop into the low 70s.

This Weekend:

Mostly sunny Saturday, with highs in the low 90s. With dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s, it will feel like the mid-90s. Look for scattered showers with a few thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could e heavy and the chance of rain is near 50% Saturday.

By Sunday, a stalled out front that has been living to our northwest will sag closer to us, which will ramp up our afternoon and evening thunderstorm activity.
