The gore effects in the opening scene were so bad that I genuinely thought it was going to be revealed to be an art installation, but then the whole movie just looked like that. That scene was never really explained either so I was just confused about it for the rest of the movie

This is my number 3 because it's one of the most entertaining and straight to the point Saw movies. Don't get me wrong it's very consistently stupid but I think it always tried its hardest to at least give fans something to talk about and just be a dumb fan service movie. The detective character is very annoying and easily one of the least likable characters in the series, but otherwise I think Greutert did a great job with both 6 and 7 in terms of just crazy fun setups and hilariously over the top payoffs. "I THINK WE'RE BREAKING UP WITH YOU DINA" will forever be engraved into my brain, one of the most entertaining opeing traps even though it makes no sense
