guys you have to understand to avoid OFFSIDE there has to be two Players behind your line doesn't matter a goalkeeper and defender or two defenders in this case there was only one player behind, and that is the defender but the goalkeeper was ONSIDE so that left only one player behind, so the game is not broken.

The way the game engine in FIFA 18 handles offside is a joke. The AI races into an offside position constantly. It anticipates the final pass way too quickly, makes it harder than necessary to play fast, fluid attacking play when intricate build ups are ruined by the AI failing to properly anticipate the pass
