Parkland walk is a nature reserve in London that follows the course of a railway line that used to run between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace through Stroud Green, Crouch End, Highgate and Muswell Hill. You wouldn't know it was a former railway track except for the old train platforms of Crouch End, and perhaps some of the bridges that you cross. Along the way there is a giant spriggan scuplture, numerous graffiti, and a bat sanctuary. I walked it from north to south which makes most of the path downhill or flat. It's an easy walk, but a unique one. The route is split into the northern and southerly sections as the route avoids the section (for safety reasons) that formerly served Highgate and the adjoining tunnels. In my highgate walking video I gave a glimpse of the former Highgate station on this railway line.
