If you think about it, going way back to the pioneer days, that's how people shopped. They would go to a merchant shop with their jars or storage containers and buy supplies, material to make clothes. The food was stored in barrels. There was no waste or hardly any to speak of. Meat & eggs were fresh organic and healthy. The price for convenience, is costing us as humans. It's creating global warming, climate change, cancer, autism, diseases, affecting animal species both on and off land, catastrophic changes to our waters. As humans we are made up of mostly water so why would this not seem alarming to you. Next time you're very thirsty, think about not having clean water to drink or no water available at all... I can think of some places around the world where they have to walk for miles to find a mud puddle to sip out of. This is a scary thought. Drinking poor quality water will make humans very sick and is dangerous to your health and longevity. Next time your in a store look at what your placing in your basket and think about what happens to it once your done. Think about the packaging and were does it go after you slip it into the garbage. It's out of your hands and going were??? If we as humans can slow ourselves a bit from buying products that contain so much plastics and foam or whatnot, learn to use our own bags, and buy fresh market bulk shopping, we'd really be helping to do our part. I feel it would need to be priced fairly for the average human to be able to afford to do so. Perhaps the governments around the world could help with this so that it reduces the carbon footprints of mankind. There is no way of stopping using all plastics like medical needs for it and sanitation but average household everyday goods. Yes, this would be very impactful in slowing the amount of human waste we toss out.
