Chris Paul probably is the best point guard, meaning he does the job of the point guard the best in terms of the ideal point guard. There's obviously better players in the point guard position, but that doesn't mean they're better point guards.

Chris Paul would still be better no matter what condition Rondo is in. But also, Rondo is so prone to injury that it drags his skill level down. I'm not saying that I like Chris Paul, (Kobe fan), but Chris Paul would come out on top over Rondo any day. He's better at running the floor, has more patience, is always calm, can pass just as well as Rondo, score when he actually wants to, and is just an all-out better player. Rondo is probably smarter than he is and right behind him in skill though.

LeBron is the best PG in the league...dude's passing skills are unreal. Even though he's not technically a PG, he is the best in the league.

Give me Chris Paul and the PG and Westbrook at SG.

Chris Paul is a better defender. He has quicker feet and hands. DRose isn't a better shooter, he hasn't developed a three pointer and is consistent from mid range. I never said he can't pass, he is a great passer, but not as good as Paul. He don't have to score, he chooses when to, which is a smart move. Chris Paul is just as or more clutch, he has saved teams from losing multiple times. And it don't matter he never won a game against DRose. Basketball is a team game, not one on one.

He is still a terrific playmaker with or without those 3. Plus he can get you triple doubles and he can play defense. A PG's role isn't to take over games, a PG's role is to get their teammates rolling, set the tone of their offense and be one of the leaders of their team. When you got Pierce, who is pretty damn clutch, you don't need to take over games.

You aren't giving your opinion, you are giving facts.

Yeah good point. At the end of the day its just matter of opinion. They all elevate their teams. Since Point Guard is the deepest position in the NBA right now in terms of star player value its hard to argue who is the best. I don't think there's any right or wrong answer to it. Mostly personal preference of who's game you like more.

he's led the league in assists and steals, he's a top-10 defender (two time first defensive team), had the most triple doubles last season BY FAR, and is the franchise player on a title-contending team. as for deron, I don't think anyone shooting under 40% FG who averaged 4 turnovers last year is "underrated"

d.rose is like adrian peterson they both are unstoppable with no big decoy to open it up.

thats a bold statement seeing how only kd melo an lbj may be the only guys who could even come close to him in career points.

i think its a smart move for both teams, gives the knicks another big body who can rebound, save them some cap room, and some help for tyson, i dont see camby or sheed playin more than about 15 min a night at most. la wouldve gotten a lil younger and faster as well as a guy who already knows the system n how to play off nash.

yea him scoring the ball alot and also passing took 76ers to the nba finals. just like d.rose droppin buckets and passing took his team to the eastern conference finals

Yeah like I said before 3 and 4 on my list are interchangeable, Russell may have many flaws but Deron isn't perfect so that's why I feel Russell can be 3 at times and Deron can also be 3 at times. They each do something that the other cannot do so to me it balances out.

I somewhat agree with you. He is very underrated because he plays with the Spurs--Which people think is a "boring" team to watch. He isn't the best PG in the league though. Top 5, but rings don't mean anything when your talking from an individual standpoint. You have to remember he is playing with the GOAT of all PF's.

Paul is my favorite PG, cuz he's got that good attitude and he's humble. I'm a fan of both Clippers and Lakers. GO LA!!!

@Sduded Isn't a scoring point guard basically a shooting guard?
