Показать описание
An excellent riverside London walk from Chiswick to Hammersmith with lovely pubs and history and a Fullers Brewery tour!
This makes a perfect pub crawl and the pubs are really ancient with river views.
We also visit Chiswick House and William Hogarth's house.
A highly recommended tour of the Fullers Brewery where they brew London Pride and many other beers.
The excellent Villa di Geggiano restaurant where you can buy wine by Sting and Trudie.
Chiswick Mall with many 18th century houses and St Nicholas Chiswick Church.
The ghost of Hammersmith, Minder, Bottom, Hammersmith Odeon and much much more!!

It beggars belief Joolz Guides has not been snapped up by mainstream TV. Informative, educational, funny, and always a pleasure to watch. Great presentation and excellent videography by his trusty cameraman/quip ✌️

Strolling the lanes of London with Joolz and Simon, having a pint or two at some ancient pub, going to the cockney sing-a-long, these things are on my bucket list. Absolutely love these videos. Please don't kill off Joolz guides. Please.

Decades ago my wife and I were in London and wanted to go to the Chiswick house and gardens. Being from the USA we were asking what bus/train would take us there and we were pronouncing it Chess-wick. Well, it wasn't until we had asked about six people that we learn it is pronounced Chis-ick. 🤓

A friend of mine worked at the Hammersmith Odeon in the '70s. I got to see a lot of acts for free and one of the standouts for me was Blondie. Happy days. Fab video as ever Joolz.

Can only begin to tell you how much I enjoy your work. No better way to begin my day here on the west side of the Pond. Thanks!

Used to live in Chiswick 20 odd years ago, the walk by the river was my Sunday afternoon. I’ll have to do it again someday, when I’m not 4000 miles away.

You really should do more vids about the Thames. One of the most fascinating rivers in the world. Fascinating historical programmes to be made.

This brought back some amazing memories for me. I was born just off of Fulham Palace Road and all of the area you’ve shown, was my childhood / teen stamping ground.
My father was one of the surveyors responsible for the renovation of Butterwick, which is the area in the centre of Hammersmith roundabout.
Hammersmith Odeon is where I used to go to Saturday morning pictures, and years later, I saw the commodores with Lionel Richie live on stage at the same place.
I used to drink in The Rutland which is next door to The Blue Anchor, and run by a wonderful couple, Mike and Thea. Fun fact about the Rutland…Elkie Brooks used to own property very close by and would often be seen at the bar of The Rutland. Nice lady.
Anyway, thank you for the tour of my childhood home. Such happy times.

Finally, you're in West London. If you come Richmond side, drop me a note, we can go 'walkabout' together. :)
