How "not sure this will fit in backpacks designed for 15 inch screens" didn't turn into an opportunity to show off the LTT backpack, even if it didn't fit.

To be fair, most of Dell's employees are in the warranty sales division.

stupidly impressive for being their first time, they clearly invested a shit ton of money on this project

You know, I’m actually surprised that Corsair didn’t make a laptop until now.

+1 for the milled chassis, those are actually quite rare in the most laptops.

I love Alex’s ‘have a fantastic day’ at the end of shortcircuits. It genuinely makes me feel more positive.

Corsair coming out swinging. For the high build quality, high specs and Elgato integration it's not too bad. The price is the let down but it's their first and I'm glad they went for a quality product. Fix the speakers for general use. Improve the webcam and you have a legitimate portable streaming system.

I'm still at the beginning of the video. I just want to make a point that ergonomically laptops fail most of us with the screen being too short, So anyway that the screen is taller is a very good thing

The reason for having the option to disable the right side of the trackpad is the same reason why trackpads in general are often placed further left nowadays. It's so your hand can pivot from trackpad to keyboard more comfortably without moving your elbow. If the right side of the trackpad is disabled, there's less of a chance of hitting it with the palm of your hand during the movement. That's if your right-handed of course. If you're left-handed, everyone hates you and we all want to make your life harder. Go smear that trackpad some more with your ink-smeared palm, you animal.

The AMD encoder has come along way in the last year or so. Finding software that actually utilizes all those improvements is the real struggle right now.

To be fair they did a really good job for their first laptop, hoping to see more from Corsair in the future 👏

The taller screen, milled chassis, and macro bar are big additions and tweaks that set this apart for me. Corsair going well out of their way to not just rebadge a chassis and actually put out a really nice product to start is great. The price is obviously high, but this seems like a laptop that is on the premium end of things, and will outlast similar-specced but cheaper competitors.

Apart from the speakers (and the price) I really liked this. Liked the "bottom gap" where the streamer buttons are. If I am (as I am right now) have my laptop in my lap even with a fairly large screen it is not uncommon for the bottom to not really be clearly visible.

"If I'm honest, I was expecting it to be a bit of a flop monster, because Corsair is never done it before, and they have what, 2500 employees a company like Dell has what 160, 000? Like how would they possibly be able to match that?"
and this is exactly the Story of the LTT Screwdriver

Imagine if it were reviewed from the perspective of somebody buying it with their money?
Typically, if I've dropped $3050 on a laptop, I'm going to feel out the features, apps, and controls it comes with.
Especially controls for the one standout feature of the device?!

I bought one of their desktop gaming PC's a couple of years ago. I usually build my own and have done so for the last 15 years. But in 2021 I couldn't find all the parts that I needed for my new build so when I got a notification that Corsair finally had some of their machines in stock, I jumped on it. They sold out in about 20 minutes and I got one with a 5900X CPU and RTX 3080. I was completely impressed by the quality of the build...absolutely the best pre-built I've ever seen. Even the cable management was first rate. Becasuse of that experience, I'd buy one of their laptops without hesitation.

You’ve got to check out the new AMD Lenovo Slim 7 ProX. The specs on it for the price look nuts, a genuine competitor to the XPS I think!
