Delhi Police detained Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers while breaking up their protest outside the CBI's office in the national capital on 26 February 2023. AAP members were demonstrating outside the central probe agency's office while Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was being questioned inside. Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was reportedly among those detained by police. Sisodia reached the CBI office for interrogation around 11 am with relation to the Delhi liquor policy case, in which the CBI has alleged kickbacks and corruption. Ahead of his questioning, Sisodia had conducted a roadshow with supporters, and also visited Rajghat. After nearly eight hours of questioning during which his responses were deemed unsatisfactory, the CBI on Sunday evening detained Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the creation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021–22, according to officials. According to reports, Sisodia appeared at the CBI headquarters at 11:12 a.m. for the second round of questioning. He went to Rajghat to pray before attending the investigation, along with other party leaders Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bhardwaj. Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, promised to "completely cooperate" with the CBI. Before being questioned in the matter, Sisodia claimed on Twitter that he doesn't mind being "jailed" for a few months. even though Sisodia was called last Sunday. The central organisation interrogated him for many hours on Sunday prior to his detention. He was contacted by the CBI in relation to alleged irregularities and corruption in the creation and application of the new excise policy for the national capital. Before presenting the excise policy to the group of ministers, the bureaucrat reportedly received instructions (GoM).
Since the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) most ambitious Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 was cancelled on July 31, 2022, numerous leading AAP politicians and their close connections have come under scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI.

The CBI should be allowed to act independently. Politicians cannot take law in their hand do all crimes. I do not understand why public support such bad elements.
