Показать описание
Patching st, dwm, surf, and other Suckless software isn't actually too difficult but the problem is that no one really talks about how to do it so today I'm going to go over how to patch this software as well as how to undo a patch.

rule #1, show/use full/default command instead of showing/using aliased command if you're making tutorial

Also you can reverse a patch with "patch -R". If you try to apply the same patch twice it will even ask you if you'd like to reverse it.

AHAHAHA!!! Gotta love that your main goal here is to annoy the suckeless team and make their stuff more accessible and less "elitist". Please, do keep it up!!!

How i can change font to Terminus? I create config.h file and change char line to "xos4 Terminus:pixelsize=16" then safe and rebuilt with pkgbuild -f command. After reboot system my st font is default. But if i use st -f 'xos4 Terminus-16' st run in new window in right font. What's wrong with it?

Newb here, been almost a year. Running ArcoLinuxD Xtended, mostly i3-gaps-next. Found your channel searching Bspwm. I really don't touch code, which makes life interesting. The other day I came across Sway. Ever look into it? I've taken a bit of a kick at it, and it's above my head... :) You might have lotsa fun with it. i3 for Wayland.

Would be nice to have something like suckless written in a higher level language like Rust. Would be easier to write your own patches without introducing memory bugs etc.

You talk about good topic but the problem is that you dont do proper research before making a video. i mean instead of saying "maybe it works like that" do proper research and show how things work.
