I'm 38 years old, I lost my job 3 months ago, after working hard for 15 years, no one wants to hire me now. I stumbled across your channel, and seeing you grind it out really inspired me. I only managed to do 150. For a brief moment of doing that I felt peace, and after that I felt even though everything else in my life is falling apart, I can just take a small little win. Thank you.

It's just you and the bar; nothing else matters.

I can't even imagine the soreness and pain of the calluses durning and after the workout, I often do about 100 pull ups twice a week, 250+ in a single workout is just insane!

"let's go to the bar" means different things to different people

I think the reason these videos work so well for motivation is they romanticise the struggle itself. When I see other motivational videos I want to see results because someone else got big really fast, but I still don’t really want to work out because it’s painful. These videos, on the other hand, focus on the process and just make you want to go out a cold rainy day and do legs for hours simply to get that feeling. The pain is embraced; the journey is the goal. The results are more of a bonus.

this feels like a checkpoint on the internet honestly, people just sharing experiences, and the bar is here to listen

I did 500 once in 3 hours and I was in absolute disbelief I managed it, but I did take longer breaks off the bar. One of the greatest days I've had, pullups are the best exercise.

What a freaking back... Must be motivating for the people in the park, training, to see that it can really work if they dont quit. I mean that's fucking art right there

I like that you have rain as your ambient noise. I listen to rain when I sleep at night, it's the only way I get full 8 hour sleeps. Anytime I sleep without the sound of rain I wake up intermittently throughout the night.
