The Real Cause of Thyroid Belly
Показать описание
Suffering from a thyroid belly shape? You aren't alone. This characteristic sign is found in many, many thyroid patients and it's caused by 3 things:
1. Gut problems.
Gut problems like constipation and SIBO can lead to distention of the abdomen which pushes your belly out.
2. Fat.
In combination with gut problems, thyroid patients are also more prone to developing both subcutaneous and visceral fat.
Subcutaneous fat causes the jiggly type of fat that gives you cellulite and visceral fat pushes your organs out causing distention. (Both contribute to the thyroid belly shape).
3. Fluid.
Finally, fluid retention in the abdomen can also contribute and is a common symptom among thyroid patients.
How do you get rid of it? Start with your thyroid! By optimizing thyroid function you will improve your gut health, improve metabolism, and decrease fluid retention.
